Vintage Caravans

Everybody enjoys feeling nostalgic, and vintage caravans are a much loved piece of our vacationing folklore.

The last few years have seen a number of restored vintage caravans popping up all over the place, following the food truck craze happening around Australia at the moment.

Here are a few very cool businesses that are based around vintage caravans…

Frankie is owned by Brisbane based Stylist & Photographer Kara Rosenlund.

Kara travels to markets around Brisbane selling her gorgeous vintage wares, collected from around the world.

Mr Jenkins is a loveable 1952 mobile bar, based on the Gold Coast and servicing Byron Bay to the Sunshine Coast.

He features a solid wood bar, two large ice sinks and 2 bar fridges.  The edison hanging bulbs keep this van looking very on-trend and masculine (if you’re not into the girly caravan look!)

Mimsy’s Trailer Trash Tattoo in Brizzy is the cutest tattoo studio going around!

Decked out with tiki paraphernalia, flamingos, astroturf and all things rockabilly and 50’s kitsch, Mimsy has her tattoo equipment set up inside her pink 1950’s restored caravan!

Meet Spencer of That Vintage Caravan. He is based in Sydney, and can transform into a bar, much like his sister Sweet Jane, who is perfect for a garden high tea, complete with lawn games and afternoon tea packages.

Poppy Jean is  a restored 1950’s bondwood caravan based in Melbourne .  Her hatch window can work as a dessert buffet, DJ booth or a bar!   Such a great caravan for a wedding, bridal shower or even a kid’s party.

Adelaide friends, don’t fret!!  The Little Van That Could is in your town and can be hired.  Perfect for post wedding ceremonies, or ANY outdoor event infact.  Why not serve guests from this cutie.  Think ice cream cones, bubbles, beer or homemade lemonade.

There are many more amazing caravans, waiting to be restored to their former beauty, capturing the essence of the 1950s.

Keep your eyes on our Facebook page and blog for our very own caravanning adventure…!
